Estrada Now 3-10 After Subduing Rebels | Not everyone stuck through the 53-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Pitcher Ramón Estrada was sensational for the Philadelphia Athletics in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Boston Rebels. Estrada received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Philadelphia, at 32-58, sits in 4th place in the National League Eastern Division.
Estrada dominated for Philadelphia, raising his record to 3-10. Boston hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 2 hits over 9 innings while striking out 4.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Boston manager Noel Smith. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
