| Oilers Prevail, 4-2, Over Hendersonville | Oilers shortstop Sixto Vélez put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Hendersonville Hitmen. Vélez was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for El Dorado in the contest. Kuang-yin Yue notched his 12th save in 15 chances. Even with the win, the Oilers have a dismal 31-59 record.
El Dorado used the timely hitting of Mathew Clayton to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Oilers on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
