Cruz had a key at-bat for Nevada early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and gave Nevada an early 3-0 lead.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Bobby Vickers said.
