| Sheens Turn Back Panthers, 4-3 | Stone Brewery Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the St Charles Sheens and the Vista Panthers.
St Charles beat Vista at Stone Brewery Stadium, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Jesús Hernández, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Paul Adams got the win, improving to 6-8. He held the Panthers to 3 earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Sergio Pujols, who is tied for 4th in the CL in triples with 4, hit a triple. The Sheens went on to win.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Vista manager Tim Fulgham said following the tough loss.
