Bandits Get Road Win, 7-2
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
San Francisco center fielder Scott Merritt made his presence felt in the 7-2 Bandits triumph over the Nevada Noise. Merritt went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Tim Murray got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3.
Chris Austin, who was drafted in the three round of the 2024 draft, aided the San Francisco cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Austin called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The Bandits are off to a tough start, getting just their 1st win in 10 games.
