| Bruins Bang Out 9-2 Win Versus Nashville | The So Cal Bruins defeated the Nashville G-Strings, 9-2, at Gibson Guitar Park. So Cal designated hitter Rubén Calderón was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 times. The Bruins bumped their record to 52-28 with this latest triumph.
Alfredo Rivera, who is a four-time All-Star, aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rivera told the So Cal Citizen.
