The Kenilworth Aces got a strong performance from pitcher Erwin Entwistle, who stymied the Philadelphia offense en route to a 2-1 win at Play Rocks Field. Kenilworth reliever Alfonso Ramos was the winner. His record is now 6-2. Dave Huot took the loss. Robinson Gonzáles was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 45 of 48 save opportunities.
Had Roberto García not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, García hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Aces.
In postgame comments, Entwistle told the Kenilworth Herald: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
The Aces own a robust 107-51 mark.
