| Silver Lifts Tropics to 10-6 Win | The Nevada Noise and Maui Tropics brought some excitement to Branda's Palace.
The Maui Tropics topped the Nevada Noise, 10-6, with shortstop Matt Silver playing a big role. Silver was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Tropics in the win. Kent Robinson got the save, his 21st in 27 chances.
Dave Cook's at-bat in the top of the eighth inning was a big one for Maui. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Maui leading 6-5, the designated hitter reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Cook.
Maui, at 73-82, sits in 4th place in the National League Western Division.
