Cotton went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 11. His record improves to 9-4. César Rúbio converted his 12th save in 13 tries.
Maui took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, right fielder José Rivas hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Hendersonville manager Doug Wells.
