| Bandits Rally For Late Win Over Oilers | The San Francisco Bandits topped the El Dorado Oilers, 5-4, with third baseman Anacleto Morillo playing a big role. Morillo was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bandits in the win. Even with the win, the Bandits have a dismal 21-53 record.
Morillo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 forkball from Rick Grant, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bandits a 5-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Morillo.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said El Dorado manager Chris Wilson.
