Noise Score Late, Top Bruins, 9-4 | Spirited fans at Jersey West at Staples Field greeted the So Cal Bruins for their clash with the Nevada Noise.
The Nevada Noise topped the So Cal Bruins, 9-4, with third baseman Rich Ruffin playing a big role. Ruffin went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Noise in the win. Nevada reliever Luis Cortéz was the winner. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Juan Fuentes.
Bill Mark hit a 2-run double off Juan Fuentes in the top of the eighth, which put the Noise in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Mark had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Mark said after the game.
At 36-36, the Noise are currently third in the National League Western Division.
