Shields Smacks 5 Hits for Hoosiers
|
Indiana Hoosiers right fielder Brandon Shields really lit up the Wake Forest Demon Deacons with a 5-hit barrage today at Gene Hooks Stadium -- a performance that sparked the Hoosiers to a 9-8 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
Brandon Shields flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
Shields is currently batting .333 with 1 home run and 20 RBIs.
