| Bruins Deal Noise Painful Loss | The Nevada Noise got a superb performance from pitcher Dan Wilson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat So Cal. The Bruins won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Wilson was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. The Bruins own a robust 46-24 mark.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Lawrence Schroeder came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Nevada pitcher Mark Murchison, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting So Cal on top, 4-3.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Schroeder.
