D-Bags Fall to .500 After Loss to Browns | The St. Louis Browns bested the Jersey Shore D-Bags by a score of 5-4, with shortstop Carlos Alfaro getting the main credit. On the day, Alfaro went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Browns. The Browns bumped their record to 34-34 with this latest triumph.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Alfaro hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Browns into the lead, 4-1.
"We played hard and won," said Alfaro. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
