| Hitmen Win at Nassau, 3-2 | Hendersonville starter Lee Hecker pitched effectively against the Nassau Rockets at Nassau Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Hecker got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Hecker allowed 2 earned runs. The 4th-place Hitmen raised their record to 26-42.
The Hitmen got a big at-bat from left fielder Robert Phillips. For the game, Phillips went 1 for 4. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 64th hit of the season gave Hendersonville a 3-2 lead.
