Big Day with Bat: Erickson 5-for-5 Friday, July 21st, 2028 Merrill Erickson exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Headhunters Ballpark. The Logan right fielder had a field day in the 4-2 triumph over the Watertown Headhunters, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Erickson must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Merrill Erickson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
