Top Player Named by Sub League 1
Wednesday, October 25th, 2028
He may have less experience than most of his BSA Rookie League peers, but that didn't slow Ángel González down at all in 2028.
At the age of 22, the Elkins right fielder has been named the winner of the Sub League 1 Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .369 batting average and a .424 on-base percentage this year. In 43 games he piled up 62 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 18 home runs, 59 RBIs and 39 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
Edgardo Molina of the Alabama Shakes finished second in voting, while Allen Boyd of the Monroe Mallards finished third.
