Shakes Star Wins Pitcher of the Year Award Tuesday, October 24th, 2028 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Jesús Cervantes performed like a veteran on the hill for the Alabama Shakes and walked away with the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Year Award in the process. The 19-year-old Shakes star fashioned a 6-1 won-loss record in 2028 with a 0.73 ERA. In 73.2 innings of work and 12 starts, Cervantes struck out 71 while giving up 40 hits and 17 walks. He held opposing batters to a .158 average. Bob Peterson of the Grand Rapids Dutch Ovens finished second in voting, while Ernest Hutchinson of the Hartford Darth Whalers finished third. |
