Playoffs Won't Happen for Doughboys Tuesday, September 19th, 2028 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Quincy Doughboys. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Doughboys manager Cecil Green. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." The Doughboys are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team has now missed qualifying for the postseason in each of their 2 seasons in the BR (22 & Under). |
