Reed 6-for-6 for Swamp Foxes
Sunday, September 17th, 2028
Getting 6 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Oceanside's 6-5 win over Elkins today, third baseman Michael Reed was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Swamp Foxes Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Reed said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Michael Reed doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
Reed is batting .251 this season in 46 games with no home runs, 10 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 183 at-bats.
