5-Hit Blitz by Otsego HS's Pierson Monday, May 1st, 2028 Otsego HS Bulldogs third baseman Curt Pierson had a day to remember at Metropolitans Stadium today, ripping apart the Oliver Ames HS Tigers and sparking the Bulldogs to a 15-0 victory. Pierson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Pierson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Curt Pierson doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
