Madawaska Valley HS's Johnston Sidelined for Season Sunday, April 30th, 2028 The doctors have spoken and Kevin Johnston of the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Johnston sustained his season-ending injury during the Evans HS Knights game yesterday at Engines Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Madawaska Valley HS medical staff reported Johnston had a partially torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. Running the numbers on Johnston for the year, he has made 12 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark with a 4.43 ERA. In pitching 22.1 innings, he has totaled 21 strikeouts and 24 walks. |
