He easily handled Maize HS pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Raiders to a 36-7 triumph at Trawlers Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Ulrich's quip, Maize HS skipper Steve Phillips said he "would take him up on that next time." Don Ulrich hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off John Sharpley in the 5th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
