Bennett's 25-Game Hit Streak Ends Thursday, May 20th, 2027 Edward Bennett's 25-game hitting streak was snapped today at Olsen Field. The 19-year-old Aggies right fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game with the Georgia Bulldogs, but Texas A&M came out the winner, topping them 5-3. One of his teammates told BNN, "The streak was no big deal to Edward. He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames. That's the bottom line." To date, Bennett has collected 87 hits for a .483 average. He has posted 29 home runs, scored 63 runs and driven in 71 runs. |
