Southern California first baseman Eddy Davenport thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Southern California to a 8-6 win over Colorado. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Davenport said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Davenport was 3-for-3 on the day with 5 runs batted in. Eddy Davenport hit a three-run home run off Jason Karnes in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jason Karnes in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Marc Fontenot in the 9th. So far this year, Davenport is batting .195 with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
