Ewing Twirls No-Hitter Against Kansas State
Saturday, May 13th, 2028
In a dominant outing, Josh Ewing of the Texas A&M Aggies totally silenced the bats of the Kansas State Wildcats, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the Aggies' 13-0 victory, Ewing faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 8 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning" Texas A&M manager Vic Rainville said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Jorge Costello told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Aggies had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Ewing pitched a heck of a ballgame."
In pitching stats this season Ewing has rung up 5 wins and 1 loss in 10 games. He has an ERA of 0.46 and has fanned 81 batters in 59 innings.
