Ríos Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Texas Christian Tuesday, May 2nd, 2028 The Duke Blue Devils defeated the Texas Christian Horned Frogs 3-0 today at Jack Coombs Field, but Francisco Ríos's 23-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Ríos went hitless in 4 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," the center fielder said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts." This season Ríos is batting .350 with 8 home runs. |
