Ware Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, April 30th, 2028 The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets might think twice next time about pitching to B.J. Ware. At Russ Chandler Stadium today, the California Golden Bears left fielder burned Georgia Tech pitching, going 5-for-6 in a 19-6 California triumph. "When he's on his game," California skipper Tim Hester told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." B.J. Ware doubled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
