Bilbrey on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Michigan State

Nebraska second baseman Edmund Bilbrey had a big day at John H Kobs Field today against the Michigan State Spartans. The 19-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Cornhuskers to a 16-7 triumph over Michigan State.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Bilbrey said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Edmund Bilbrey singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Bilbrey is presently hitting at a .362 pace with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 21 times.
