NCAA Names Top Player Monday, April 24th, 2028 So far in his young career, Marvin Jones has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the NCAA in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old North Carolina Tar Heels first baseman hit at a torrid .483 clip as he collected 14 hits in 29 at-bats, 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored. For the season Jones is batting .419 with 39 hits and 13 home runs. He has scored 25 times and batted in 35. |
