Jim Sykes Sidelined for Season Sunday, April 23rd, 2028 A blow for Jim Sykes today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5-6 months with shoulder inflammation. Sykes suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Connecticut Huskies are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Sykes's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
