20-Game Hitting Streak for Holman Monday, April 10th, 2028 The number just keeps getting higher and higher. Cougars catcher Rick Holman has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it with 3 hits in the Washington State 18-3 win over the Cowboys at Bailey-Brayton Field. Rick Holman hit a three-run home run off Jack Oglethorpe in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. This year Holman has collected a .378 batting average to date with 14 hits in 37 at-bats, 16 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 17 times. He has played in 9 games. |
