Mississippi State Loses Hendricks for Year
Saturday, April 1st, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Bret Hendricks of the Mississippi State Bulldogs didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hendricks sustained his season-ending injury during the Wake Forest Demon Deacons game yesterday at Gene Hooks Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mississippi State medical staff reported Hendricks had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 17 months.
