Season-Ending Injury for César Galván
Tuesday, June 27th, 2028
César Galván at first refused to leave today's Saskatoon-Eau Claire game after he suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Eau Claire starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Galván out of action for 5 months.
This season Galván has worked 68.1 innings with 67 strikeouts en route to a 2-5 record and a 6.32 ERA.
