Injury Takes Toll, Juan Cervantes Out Sunday, May 28th, 2028 "I'm frustrated right now," said Salem reliever Juan Cervantes. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Sledgehammers, that's where he will be spending 4 months. Cervantes suffered radial nerve compression in today's game against Jasper while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." Cervantes has nailed down 7 saves for the year. He has also totaled 21 strikeouts and 12 walks in 21 innings while registering a 3.43 ERA and a 0-2 won-lost record. |
