PIO Selects Smith July's Best Pitcher Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 Dusty Smith has made fans throughout Pioneer League take notice over the past month with an exceptional 3-0 record. No pitcher in the Pioneer League threw better in July, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 6 starts Smith compiled a 1.57 ERA, putting up a 3-0 record, striking out 39 and tossing 34.1 innings. On the season Smith has compiled a 10-3 mark with a 2.52 ERA in 22 starts. In pitching 118 innings he has 129 strikeouts and 55 walks while limiting the opposition to a .183 batting average. |
