APL Honors Montgomery First Baseman Monday, May 29th, 2028 Kenneth Cruz must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .476 clip, then the Montgomery first baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the APL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Cruz batted .476 (10-for-21) with 3 home runs and 5 RBIs. Looking at his season stats, Cruz has compiled a .328 batting average and a .392 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 24 runs. |
