2028 APL Outstanding Pitcher Award Named Monday, October 16th, 2028 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2028 has been presented and the Appalachian League winner is Alejandro Guzmán of Scottsdale. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Guzmán. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Scorpions star told reporters. Guzmán excelled with an impressive 20-4 record in 33 starts. In 181 innings he yielded 140 hits and 70 walks, while striking out 200 and compiling a fine 2.64 ERA. Manuel Santiago of the El Paso Texans finished second in voting, while José Cuellar of the Nantucket Orcas finished third. |
