Soriano on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Nashua
Wednesday, August 9th, 2028
The Savannah Hogs stopped the Nashua Redlegs by a score of 7-3 at Dean Dome today, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Juan Soriano. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Soriano said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Soriano did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Redlegs.
"Not much that I can say," offered Nashua manager Bill Meisner. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Juan Soriano singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
During the current season Soriano is batting at a .226 clip with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 32 games and scored 14 times.
