Romero 5-for-6 for Plumstead
Monday, May 15th, 2028
Plumstead Eagles catcher Germán Romero had a day to remember at Pride Field today, ripping apart the Cincinnati Pride and sparking the Eagles to a 12-4 victory.
Romero wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Romero told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Germán Romero singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
Hitting .339 to date, Romero has no home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 22 games.
