Superb Year For Field, Wins Outstanding Hitter Award Tuesday, October 17th, 2028 Michael Field took Midwest League by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 23. For his spectacular campaign, the Erie Jaxx star has been named the 2028 Midwest League Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the left fielder. On the season he compiled a .316 batting average to go with a .412 on-base percentage. The native of Placentia, California also added 22 doubles, 2 triples, 22 home runs, 96 RBIs and 58 runs scored. Dennis McConnell of the Plumstead Eagles finished second in voting, while Stan Taylor of the Lee's Summit Tigers finished third. |
