Monday, October 16th, 2028
Tough in the clutch -- that's what a bullpen specialist needs to be. And one of the best in the league this season was Pablo Lima of the Evanston Elitists, who was today announced as the winner of the Midwest League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
In 2028 Lima appeared in 68 games and converted 38 saves in 42 save opportunities. The Elitists star had a 5-3 mark with a 1.91 ERA. He also chalked up 152 strikeouts and walked 41 in 89.2 innings of work. Opposing hitters managed a .152 average against him.
José Peña of the Little Rock Lemmiwinks finished second in voting, while António Ruíz of the Lee's Summit Tigers finished third.
