5-Hit Blitz by Case Wednesday, July 19th, 2028 Reading Rainbows center fielder Richard Case had a day to remember at Paul Owens Stadium today, ripping apart the Buffalo LightSabres and sparking the Rainbows to a 18-4 victory. Case wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Case told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Richard Case singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
