ESL Announces #1 Player Award
Monday, October 16th, 2028
At the age of 24, Devin Smith of the Kingston Iguanas could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2028 was good enough to win the center fielder the Eastern League Outstanding Hitter Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .299 batting average this year, as well as a .417 on-base percentage. He played 155 games and racked up 156 hits, 25 doubles, 2 triples, 25 home runs, 99 RBIs and 103 runs scored.

Gabriel Aragón of the Newark Bulldogs finished second in voting, while Juan Estrada of the Intercourse Amish finished third.
