Rojas Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games
Wednesday, July 19th, 2028
Red Deer's 25-year-old right fielder Alejandro Rojas has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Rojas extended the streak by going 2-for-5 against Red Bulls pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Rojas always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Wranglers 10-7 triumph over Riverside at Wrangler Field he downplayed his part in the victory. Alejandro Rojas flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
Thus far this year Rojas is hitting .333 with 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
