San Diego Starter Named NWL's Premier Pitcher Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 Over the past month Roberto Carrillo has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Northwest League. He proved all that and now he's been named July's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the San Diego Smashers posted 5-0 mark and a 2.13 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 38 innings, permitted 24 hits and fanned 44 batters. In 16 starts this year Carrillo has fashioned a 11-2 record and a 2.71 ERA. |
