Thursday, October 19th, 2028
The Santa Monica clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Andrew Caine will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2028 Pacific Coast League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Caine made 19 starts this year, winning 12 and losing 3. He threw 125.1 innings, fanned 154, allowed 93 hits and 35 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .204 average as he logged an impressive 2.59 ERA.
Aaron Green of the Houston Hammertime finished second in voting, while Carlos Trujillo of the Santa Monica Bruins finished third.
