Bears Barrera Chosen August's Best in PCL Friday, September 1st, 2028 Juan Barrera was a long shot to make the Texarkana Bears this year, especially being a 30-year-old rookie. Now the Texarkana hurler has parlayed a 5-1 record into the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Month award. In August, he chalked up 32 strikeouts in 43 innings and compiled a 2.93 ERA. To date Barrera is 12-6 in 23 starts with a 3.86 ERA and has 123 strikeouts in 151.2 innings. |
