Great Stroke: Robinson Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, August 9th, 2028 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Evan Robinson, it came around today. The 27-year-old catcher scattered hits all over Mile High Field to pace the Mile High Broncos to a 8-7 victory over the Santa Monica Bruins. Santa Monica skipper José Vargas told reporters in the press room that "Robinson deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Robinson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Evan Robinson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
