Espinoza's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Sunday, July 30th, 2028 Javier Espinoza of the Blueville 83's just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting second baseman went 2-for-4 in his team's 10-2 victory over the Detroit X-Wings at Leadwood Grounds and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "He is definitely on a roll right now" said a X-Wings pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway." When asked about his performance, Espinoza said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Javier Espinoza walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Javier Duarte in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this year Espinoza is hitting .375 with 7 home runs. |
